I still have a globe from the 80's that I'll look at occasionally to remind me that in spite of how many problems we have, we've got to remember just how far we've come. I can still remember as a kid watching the Berlin Wall being knocked down. Now those countries living under oppression less than 20 years ago are growing and thriving democracies.
Of course, Putin has a wild hair up his ass these days! I hope that NATO has the balls to keep the NEW MAP.

We didn't even have geography in my school...at least not that I know of, but I love maps.
I remember geography combined with social studies back in seventh grade. Then in college, that was my major.
Exactly, they called it social studies. I think it would be an exciting major....especially the research.
It's so much deeper a subject than what's on a map. Maps got to be the way they were because of the human impact that formed those borders.
