I am having a mini-pity party for myself. Next month is the 2009 Worlds for Gymnastics in London - this will be the first Worlds that I don't be going to since 2001. It really shouldn't be a big deal - most the gymnasts I like are not going either (usually the Worlds right after the Olympics sucks - i.e. Memmel winning the All-Around in 2005 is a prime example). So................this is even more of a reason to hope that Chicago gets the 2016 Olympics Games - we will find out the end of next week.

The "JAPAN CUP 2009" competition included Team and All-Around events and my favorite ~ the Russian Ladies ~ did quite well. Team Russia placed second and Aliya Mustafina & Tatiana Nabieva finished 2 & 3 in the All-Around.
