It is funny to think that this event has been known as the "VISA Championships" for a few years now - the title doesn't mention anything about "gymnastics" or the fact that it is still "Nationals". Well...........as long as it puts a few hours of gymnastics on television!

The 2009 American Cup will be in...

Chicago, so depending on which gymnasts are competing.....I may have to go!

The last "American Cup" I went to was in 2005 (Long Island, NY in the middle of a snow storm). It was also the year that the format changed from an "All-Around" competition to "Event Finals". The format change didn't last and in 2006, it was back to crowning an "All-Arounder".
